□ One day, I'll be able to afford a cool weapon A dream team This is mostly due to the gameplay which feels ripped straight from a typical Ys game so much so that I wonder why they didn't call this Ys: The Legend of Nayuta and make Nayuta an ancestor of Adol or something. It was such a special time for RPGs and more than that, this fantastic adventure specifically reminded me of the incredible Ys games from the era like The Oath in Felghana and The Ark of Napishtim. □ PSP memoriesĪs I played through The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails, I was constantly having flashbacks to the incredible PSP days when I played many excellent RPGs for the system in the early 2010s such as Ys Seven, Trails in the Sky, and Star Ocean: Second Evolution. It's super-simple stuff and serves more as a catalyst for the action-filled journey that follows rather than an immersive complex narrative but that's perfectly fine with me although some may not agree. However, after meeting a fairy named Noi, he discovers the call of adventure where he travels to a handful of mysterious continents while helping their leaders and ridding the lands of evil. Speaking of story, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails follows aspiring adventurer Nayuta who wants to explore yet he's stuck on his home island. For some context, it originally released for PSP back in 2012 which was 1 year after Trails to Azure and a year before the very first Trails of Cold Steel so I guess Nihon Falcom took a little diversion before diving into their next epic story.
